<p data-start="426" data-end="666">I&rsquo;m planning to travel through Southeast Asia for about 2 to 2.5 months early next year (Jan&ndash;Mar 2026), and I&rsquo;m trying to get a realistic idea of what a modest-but-comfortable budget would look like <strong data-start="625" data-end="632">now &mdash; not pre-COVID or 5 years ago.

<p data-start="668" data-end="924">I'm aiming for a mix of local experiences and occasional splurges (like a diving trip or a nicer Airbnb once in a while). I&rsquo;m not super frugal, but I&rsquo;m not a luxury traveler either &mdash; think street food, buses/trains, hostels or private rooms in guesthouses.
