Has anyone tried those mobile gearbox diagnostic services? Or better to go to a proper shop? (14 อ่าน)

My 2014 Nissan Patrol has developed a harsh shift from 2nd to 3rd gear, especially when the transmission is hot after driving for an hour or so. No warning lights, no noises, just a hard clunk that you can feel through the whole car. I'm worried it's the valve body or maybe just low fluid, but I don't want to mess with it myself. I've seen ads for mobile mechanics who come to your house and scan the transmission and even do fluid changes on the spot. Part of me likes the convenience, but another part of me thinks a gearbox is too important to trust to someone without a proper lift and all the diagnostic tools. I was reading online and decided to view details on a few shops in Sharjah that specialize in these RE7 transmissions found in Patrols and Land Cruisers. They seem to have proper equipment and experience. But I'm also a busy guy and taking time off work to drive to Sharjah and leave the car there for days is a hassle. Has anyone here used a mobile service for a transmission issue and actually had a good result? Or should I just stop being lazy and take it to a proper specialist? I really don't want to make a bad decision and end up with a blown transmission because I chose convenience over quality. Any advice from Patrol owners in particular would be amazing. Thanks.
