Reinforcing the Glass Panels in an Exhibition Hall: Will Security Film Help? (10 อ่าน)

22 ส.ค. 2569 23:35

A neighboring art space recently found itself in an unpleasant situation when a visitor tripped and fell directly onto a glass partition, shattering it completely. I am currently finishing up the setup of my own gallery, which has a similar layout, and I’m absolutely horrified at the thought that one of my guests might get injured by the sharp shards. I am thinking of applying a special protective film to all transparent surfaces. Please let me know: is a truly durable transparent film capable of holding the glass together during a strong impact and preventing cuts? I also forgot to ask if there are any combined solutions that, in addition to durability, provide protection from heat and UV rays, since paintings also fade very quickly in the sun?

The situation is certainly not pleasant, but using a protective film is the most effective solution here, as it turns ordinary glass into something similar to triplex glass. If the window is struck, it may crack, but all the pieces will remain firmly attached to the adhesive layer, leaving no chance of cuts. I recommend checking out the catalog at https://www.tintfit.com/shop/safety-security , which features certified transparent coatings to prevent shattering and breakage, combined sun-protective and frosted series, as well as special anti-graffiti films and high-visibility safety markings. This will address safety concerns and help preserve your exhibits. What are the dimensions of your partitions?
