  A fiberglass entry door (13 อ่าน)

I’m considering buying a fiberglass entry door with a natural wood-grain finish. The idea that it doesn't require the demanding maintenance of solid wood is very appealing, but I have concerns about the durability of the finish. Could you share your personal experience regarding how fiberglass holds up against direct summer sun and severe winter frost? Do micro-cracks appear in the clear coat, and do the weather seals retain their elasticity after a couple of years?

A wood-look fiberglass door is a truly excellent alternative to solid wood if you want to avoid the hassle of constant repainting. We ordered ours from Elegant Entry Doors. I also advise you to Fast choosing fiberglass doors before the fall rush. Our door has been installed for over two years; it faces south, yet the stain and finish haven't faded or cracked at all. The manufacturer uses durable water-based coatings, and the door itself doesn't expand with temperature fluctuations, so the locks operate just as smoothly in summer as they do in winter. As for maintenance, we simply wipe off the dust.
