I’ve been comparing rates lately and was wondering—is there actually a “best time” of year to shop for car insurance in Louisville? I’ve heard some people say rates can dip around the holidays or right before your current policy renews, but I’m not sure if that applies here in Kentucky.

A couple things I’ve noticed while digging around:

Some companies offer better auto insurance quotes in Louisville during slower seasons when fewer people are shopping.

End of the month or quarter could mean agents are more willing to offer discounts to meet quotas.

After major life events (moving, buying a car, getting married), it’s definitely worth checking again.

Has anyone here found a time of year where they got a noticeably better deal? Or is it just a matter of timing your switch before your renewal and comparing every 6 months?
