Hi everyone, I'm just starting to learn about fishing, and I feel like I'm about to go crazy from the flood of information. I live in California, USA, and it's quite difficult to find suitable, non-commercial fishing spots that are definitely legal.

Don't you think it would be easier to find a community of experienced fishermen and ask them? I think there are plenty of suitable groups on Facebook for this.

Any fishing trip begins with planning the trip and choosing a location. I'm glad that there are now many convenient ways to make this process easier. Before I discovered California fishing guide, I often picked a lake at random and hoped for the best. Now I can compare different fishing spots, check current conditions, and decide which location gives me the best chance of success. I also like reading about different fish species.
