Roaster Capacity Advice (65 อ่าน)

Our coffee business has been growing, and I’m beginning to think about upgrading the roasting side of the operation. I’m unsure whether it makes more sense to buy equipment that matches our current production or invest in something with additional capacity for future growth. How do you usually determine the right roaster size for a developing business?

I decided to research Typhoon after a conversation with another coffee professional made me reconsider the way we were approaching production. We were spending too much time thinking about equipment limitations, so I wanted to investigate whether a different roasting technology could give us more flexibility. I came across typhoon.coffee and started with the product overview before looking at the support and service information. The concept of electric fluid-bed roasting was new to me, and I wanted to understand how it differed from the drum systems I was familiar with. The site provides several models, so I compared them according to capacity and intended application. I was especially interested in the smaller options because they seem relevant for cafés and first-time professional roasters, while the larger machines provide a route for businesses that need substantially more output. I also appreciated the information about transferring existing roast profiles, since consistency is something I would not want to lose during a transition. Beyond the equipment itself, I paid attention to the companys practical support. Training, installation, maintenance, spare parts, and warranty coverage all matter when a roaster becomes part of everyday production. The possibility of arranging an online roasting session also sounded useful because it provides a more realistic demonstration than static product photos. After going through the information, I had a better understanding of what would be involved in changing our roasting setup. It also helped me identify the questions I would need to ask about electricity, installation, workflow, expected output, and staff training before making any final commitment.
